This upcoming Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May), the theme is “Take Action”—a reminder that even the smallest steps can have a meaningful impact on our mental health and wellbeing.
Taking action can look different for everyone.
It might be starting a gentle new routine, spending time outdoors, reaching out to someone you trust, or exploring resources that support positive mental wellbeing. It can also mean creating space for honest, open conversations—helping to break down stigma and remind others that they are not alone.
At GIVE, we are committed to encouraging these small but powerful steps within our community. Our aim is to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and provide accessible, practical support for those who may be struggling or feeling isolated. We believe that connection, creativity, and movement all play an important role in supporting mental health.

We offer a range of inclusive activities, including weekly walking groups, community art projects, and befriending calls. These initiatives are designed to bring people together, foster a sense of belonging, and create safe, supportive spaces where individuals can share, reflect, and grow.
This Mental Health Awareness Week, we encourage you to take action in a way that feels right for you—no matter how small. And if you feel ready, why not join one of our sessions and take that step alongside others.
