Goldsworth Park Lake is a great place to walk and is one of our favourite spots! The lake was created in the early 1970s with its primary purpose to act as a balancing pond. It was designed to manage rainwater runoff and prevent flooding in the residential area.
The area has been improved more recently, adding new platforms, reed beds and wildlife area. Goldsworth Park Lake has become a valuable and diverse habitat for fish and wildlife, and a popular spot for recreation.

Lake Walk:
1.25km paved route around the lake with additional routes towards the fields, Horsell common and Basingstoke Canal.
There is an accessible viewing platform and benches around the lake.
Activities:
Angling, playground, basketball court, hockey pitches, bike park, football pitches, picnicking and walking routes.
Amenities:
Free parking, cafes, shops, public transport and toilets.
Fish:
Carp, Pike, Bream, Tench, Roach and Perch.
Birds:
Herons, geese, swans, coots, grebes and mandarin ducks.
Goldsworth Park is a fantastic destination for walkers, families, anglers and nature lovers.
